The Accra Regional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service has issued a strong warning to aggrieved customers of struggling Gold Coast Fund Management who are planning a demonstration in Accra on Tuesday, October 15.

The demonstration will start from the Obra Spot through the Kwame Nkrumah Avenue and end at the Jubilee House.

According to the police, “adequate” plans have been made to ensure the safety of not only the demonstrators but also the general public.

A statement from the Command on Monday said there will be no traffic diversion.

“However, the police will be present to ensure free flow of traffic when there is temporary hold-up.”

The police cautioned any persons who may want to take advantage of the demonstration to foment trouble to “consider the implication of their actions because the police will not hesitate to deal with any acts that will have the tendency to undermine the peace and safety of persons and properties”.

The police urged the public to cooperate with them as they ensure an effective traffic management on Tuesday.

“Any inconvenience that these arrangements would cause are deeply regretted,” the statement signed by Inspector Bright Kwabena Danso of the Command’s Public Affairs Unit said.
