Osenase (E/R), Jan. 20, GNA - The chief of Osenase in the West Akyem District, Barima Ofosu Ware has advised his people not to allow politics to divide them but continue to live in unity and work for the development of their community.

He observed that, 2008, being an election year, the "political temperature" was bound to rise with campaign by the various political parties but that should not affect the peace Ghanaians in general and the people of Osenase in particular were enjoying. Barima Ofosu Ware gave the advice at a forum organized by the district assembly member for the Apampramu number two electoral area at Osenase, Mr Joseph Ayeh to interact with the people of his electoral area. He advised politicians and his people to be circumspect in their utterances and refrain from acts that would disturb the peace. He also

urged them to maintain a sound environmental sanitation to ensure that they enjoyed good health. Nana Osenasehene warned that those who refused to participate in communal labour would not be spared, for they would be prosecuted in court.

He appealed to the West Akyem District Assembly to help the people construct roads and drains and extend electricity to the newly developing areas in the township.

Mr Ayeh urged the people to continue to co-operate with him to plan

and work together to improve the electoral area. He promised to meet them periodically to exchange ideas so that they would not only move the electoral area forward but contribute towards the development of Osenanse. Mr. Ayeh presented awards to 18 persons who have actively worked to

enhance his work as an assembly member and promised that others would be considered at the next forum. January 19, 2008
