The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has stated that the disruption in power supply seen in some parts of the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, is due to the heavy rainstorm.
According to the ECG, the heavy rainstorm caused outages within its power distribution network.
The power distribution company added that its officials are working to restore power supply to the communities in the region affected by the outages.
“The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Limited wishes to inform our cherished customers in the Greater Accra Region that the heavy rainstorm experienced today, Tuesday, 23rd April 2024 has caused outages within the distribution network.
“Customers should please note that our Engineers are working assiduously to restore power supply to affected customers,” part of a statement the company issued on April 23 reads.
It added, “The inconvenience caused due to this natural occurrence is very much regretted”.
