Nene Tetteh Waka III, Paramount chief and president of the Prampram Traditional Council has met with divisional heads and opinion leaders in Prampram to discuss the welfare of inhabitants.
The meeting was his maiden engagement with residents after his enstoolment and outdoorsmen as Paramount Chief of the Prampram Traditional Area in January this year.
The Paramount Chief called for peaceful coexistence as they prepared towards this year's Homowo Festival celebrations.
Nene Waka III also noted that, he together with his kingmakers would ensure that the young people in the traditional area had some meaningful opportunities in life adding that he would encourage them to pursue higher education.
Naa Osabu Abey I, queen mother of Prampram Traditional Area, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said Prampram was reuniting for development adding that residents of Prampram loved peace and was ready to promote same with inhabitants and non-residents within the communities.
Until his enstoolment, the Prampram Traditional Area was without a Paramount chief for the past three years.
The area had four divisions namely: Lakpler, Kley, Gyaase, Olo-we tsawe nya divisions.
The 2019 Prampram Homowo festival begins on Thursday, 25 April 2019 with Kplejoo customs.
