Prampram Traditional Area over the weekend enstooled a private businessman, Micheal Quarcopome Parker as Paramount Chief under the stool name Nene Tetteh Wakah III, the town and traditional area has been without a Paramount Chief following the demise the late chief Nene Tetteh Djan III some three years ago.
Over the weekend in a colourful traditional ceremony held in Prampram at the forecourt of blekakpoh the Kwei Opletu/Wakah Royal house of 'Annor We' clan outdoored Nene Tetteh Wakah III as the new Paramount Chief after going through all the necessary customary and traditional rights as the Paramount Chief of the traditional area.
In his speech at the coronation ceremony, Nene Tetteh Wakah III pledge to see to the unity and development of the traditional area as well as the betterment of the lives of the people in the area.
Also Speaking at the ceremony Nene Afutu chief of Afienya entreated the new Chief to listen to good counsel and eschew anything that will not bring peace to the traditional area and the people.
Present at this historical ceremony were divisional chiefs and Queens of the traditional Area, various family heads, Asafoatsemei, and asafoanyemei of the traditional Area and other traditional rulers.
