The Chief Executive Officer of Think Twice Foundation Ghana, Mr. Ernest Birmeh, popularly known in the country as Dr Think Twice, a leading campaigner against societal pressure in the country, is urging all religious leaders in the country, to come together in unison, to warn their followers that littering is a sin, and by so doing, it prevents their members from going to heaven.
They must be consistent on this particular topic and stop preaching unrealistic prosperity and fake prophesies to their followers.
In reality, Christianity has become a torn in the flesh of many, through misinterpretation of the holy books by some so called religious leaders.
Christianity or precisely preachers of religion, have succeeded in rendering the masses poorer everyday through daily misinterpretation of the book. Christ never came to intimidate his followers, but what do we see in our country? they preach to intimidate, in order to reap from the poor.
Refuse management is clearly stated in the holy book, God truly hates it.
If we constantly lay emphasis on this canker, many lives and money would have been saved.
Littering have caused so many lives.
Cholera, flooding, malaria, poverty, and all other forms of diseases tend to have their way out through these acts of littering.
Yet our "Men of God" selfishly and greedily preach on issues which have no bearing with the well being of their followers. As the holy books put it "Cleanliness is next to godliness".
There must be consistent elaboration and practical teachings on this for a whole year.
This could get down well with their members since the situation is getting out of hand. Instead of the tricks of " we are going to wine soul for Christ " move to various homes and teach others on this social cancer.
Also, instead of emphasizing on respect for the youth, they have succeeded in turning everything upside down in the holy books. They have truly created mess and its time society sits up.
When we talk about societal pressure, which is a recipe for many unplanned born babies, derailment and killing of many talents in children, inefficiencies in our social structures, corruption, our inability to tap our resources, armed robbery, and many more, religious leaders have remote hand in it.
They have truly succeeded in dumping the brains of almost everyone in the deep freezer through intimidating preaching from childhood to adult level.
Their refusal to come together and place much emphasis on refuse management which God truly hates, will call for demonstrations in all the ten regions. Anyone reading this article should inform friends and relatives to stop paying tithe and offering.
They should as well seize attending church of any pastor who doesn't preach on refuse management and respect for children consistently. All my voluntary regional representatives are ready and alert mobilizing to acquire police permit within the one month warning time.
We also calling on every Ghanaian to start mobilizing themselves to embrace our campaign and education on societal pressures in all ten regions.
