Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor is in Abuja Nigeria on a two-day official visit at the invitation of President Olushegun Obasanjo.
The visit comes less than 24 hours after President Kufuor had returned from a summit of 12 African States in Bamako Mali with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
He left on board a Nigerian presidential jet flown in to pick him and his entourage.
Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Kan Dapaah, Minister of Energy and Dr Charles Wereko-Brobbey, Energy Adviser to the government accompanied him.
Briefing newsmen before departure, Mr Owusu-Agyeman said the two leaders would discuss bilateral issues of mutual concern especially economic co-operation.
Other issues to be discussed include petroleum, good governance and regional security.
At the airport to see off the President and his entourage were, the Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mr Felix Owusu-Poku and other government officials.
