Accra, March 7 GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor left Accra on Friday for Ouadougou, Burkina-Faso to attend a day's UNESCO-NEPAD Conference.
The conference, which is on the theme: "NEPAD From Vision To Action" would examine the modalities for the implementation of the NEPAD (New Partnership for Africa Development) action programme.
Mr Hackman Owusu Agyeman, Foreign Minister, said Ghana was a member of the NEPAD Implementation Committee and with Ghana holding the Chairmanship of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) there was the need for President Kufuor, who would the Guest of Honour to be present.
From Burkina Faso, President Kufuor would go to Lome Togo to open the ECOWAS Trade Fair, which is aimed at expanding trade among member countries.
The Vice President, the Foreign Minister and the Inspector General of Police saw off the President who is expected to be back on Friday.
