President Kufuor to visit Germany

BERLIN - The president of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, will visit Germany next week for talks with Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.

Main issues on the agenda are bilateral relations, economic ties, NEPAD (New Partnership for Africa's Development) and the June Group of Eight (G8) summit in Kananaskis, Canada which is due to focus on Africa, said a statement.

Kufuor will also have talks with Germany's mainly ceremonial president, Johannes Rau, and Development Aid Minister Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul during his June 5 to 8 working visit which includes stops in Berlin and Hamburg.
