President John Dramani Mahama returns home from the United States of America where he attended the 67th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
On arrival the President is expected to touch down in the evening at 9: pm at the Kotoka International Airport, where he will resume full swing campaigning on Tuesday, where he will be connecting, touching and familiarizing himself with the people ‘’who matter.’’
President Mahama is expected to tour the country starting from Tuesday where he is expected to visit the Volta region for three days and continue as such to the nine other regions.
The commencement of his campaign comes just days after he had toured the country and some five West African countries to thank the people for their support and show of solidarity during the death, burial and funeral of late president Mills who gave up the ghost at the 37 military Hospital after a short illness on the 24th July 2012.
President Mahama will visit the chiefs, interact with market women, drivers, traders, taxi drivers to explain the achievements of the ruling government the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the reason why the NDC should be maintained in office for another four years.
Whiles in America President Mahama addressed the opening session of the United Nations High Level meeting on Rule of Law and addressed the UN General Assembly the two most significant programs on his bill.
Later the Ghanaian president met other world leaders including American President Barrack Obama, the UN secretary General Ban-Ki- Moon, World Bank President Mr. KimYoung Kim, UNDP administrator Helen Clark and the Prime Minister of Australia Ms. Julia Gillard.
He held several bilateral meetings with various institutions marketing Ghana and courting investors.
