President Mahama invites CSOs for engagement on illegal mining

President John Dramani Mahama has extended an invitation to Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to participate in an engagement on illegal mining (galamsey)

A statement issued by Dr Callistus Mahama, the Executive Secretary to the President, said the meeting was slated for Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Presidency in Accra.

It said the engagement aimed to provide a platform for frank and constructive dialogue between the Government and civil society on the menace of illegal mining, with a view to harnessing collective expertise, perspectives and solutions to address the national challenge.
