Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi is the Founder of Glorious Wave Church International
The Founder of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has dismissed claims that President John Dramani Mahama and leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) abandoned him during difficult moments in his life.
According to the prophet, in an interview on Okay FM, President Mahama and some senior NDC figures have continued to stand by him despite public perceptions that he had been sidelined.
“He calls me prophet. President Mahama has never turned his back on me. Lordina, Agbodza, Armah Kofi-Buah, Sammy Gyamfi, and Sam George have never turned their backs on me. Even though some NDC members act as if they don't know me after securing positions, some key individuals have never abandoned me,” he said.
Badu Kobi further stated that suggestions that Mahama had cut ties with him were false.

He explained that his support for the president was based on what he believed was a divine assignment.
“For President Mahama to abandon Badu Kobi, it has never happened before. So, when I hear people saying I have been abandoned, I just laugh. The reason why I prayed to ensure the return of President Mahama was to fulfil God’s word and his destiny. And I couldn’t stay aside. I had to obey God’s word,” he stated.
The prophet also clarified that he is not a member of the NDC, stressing that his involvement is purely spiritual and not political.
“I am not a card-bearing member of the NDC. The destiny of President Mahama and his comeback was what God expected me to work on. And he is not the only one; anyone God directs me to pray for to fulfill his word, I will do so,” he added.
“President Mahama never turned his back on me when others did.”
