The National organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Yaw Gyan says

the ’good’ performance of President Mills less than two years in government is

an indication that he can change Ghana for the better if he is given the chance

to rule for eight years.

He said ‘’I endorse him for 2012, why shouldn’t I endorse him. He is one person

I have worked with for a long time and I will continue to work for him, because

he has very god morals and the way he is performing I don’t think I can accuse

him of anything’’. Yaw Gyan said.

In an interview with Radio Gold in Accra, on his reaction to Mr. Obed Yaw

Asamaoh statement on a local Radio station in Accra to the effect that the vice

chairperson of the NDC Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings will be a better President

than President Mills, the National organiser of the party said, ‘’this is a man

who said over his dead body that Professor Mills will be President of Ghana and

now that he is President Obed has the guts to say Nana Konadu will be a better

President, what double standards’’

He said Obed Asamoah holds these opinions to himself adding that Obeds confusion

and hatred for President Mills was as a result of Professor Mills,s ‘wise

judgement’ not to choose him as his running mate ‘’and for these reasons HE had

not liked him thus the slightest opportunity Obed wants to make uncomplimentary

remarks about the President’’

On whether Obeds statement holds water or not, Yaw Gyan stated that he does not

see it that way at all. He explained that there are vast differences between

Nana Konadu and President Mills and the way Mills is performing today, present

the two candidates though they are all members of ‘my party’ and you will see

the difference.

‘’Obed has no business talking about the NDC’’ Yaw Gyan fumed.

When quizzed about the developments in the NDC and whether it has the capacity

to divided the NDC front or not, Yaw Gyan said ‘’ we are one big family who

disagree and agree over issues and this people call it factions? I don’t see any

factions or divisions within the NDC’’ He noted.

The National organiser of the NDC assured al who wish the NDC dead before 2012

to fasten their seat belts. He added that ‘’ come 2012 people will se how strong

and United we are’’
