Tarkwa, May 18, GNA - President John Evans Atta Mill, on Wednesday paid a working visit to the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality in the Western Region, to inspect ongoing works at the new Tarkwa Government Hospital, which is almost complete. He was accompanied by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Minister of Roads, Mr Joe Gidisu, a Deputy Minister of Water Resources Works and Housing, Dr. Lousia Hannah Bissiw, Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr Ato Ahwio, Members of Parliament, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, party officials and chiefs of Esuoso Traditional Area to inspected the project. President Mills appealed to the people to exercise patience for Government to complete the hospital project. He said it was only God who could build a nation and has the power to act in diverse ways to the surprise of all. President Mills, who was visiting the Municipality for the second time after Election 2008, said: 93as an indigene of the Wassa land I always felt at home any time I visit you." He thanked the NDC supporters and the general public who came to welcome him during his short visit to the area. The President also inspected school building projects at Simpa in the Municipality. The Gyasihene of the Esuoso Divisional Stool Council, Nana Asare Kojo, appealed to President Mills to visit the people and chiefs again, to enable them have elaborate deliberations on issues affecting the Wassa area.
