Accra, Sept 17, GNA-President John Evans Atta Mills on Friday made a historic visit to the Attorney General's Department in Accra, and presented 12 saloon cars to the Department to facilitate its operations. Ten of the cars were Nissan and two mini-Chevrolet. President Mills commended the Staff and Officers of the Department on their hardwork, and reiterated that Government would continue to resource the Department, to give off their best. Mrs Betty Mould Iddrisu, Attorney General and Minister of Justice,
said the Department was under-resourced. She, however, announced that the Department now had 200 state attorneys, the first time to have almost the full complement of attorneys. Mrs Mould Iddrisu said the Department was now undergoing reforms and was going into specialized areas of its operations. Ms Gertrude Aikins, Director of Public Prosecutions, said the
President's visit was the first by a sitting President in the last 30 years.
