President tours three northern regions

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, would from Thursday, July 19, embark on a seven-day tour of the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions.

He would be visiting the Bolgatanga Central, Bolgatanga East, Navrongo Central, Builsa North, Bunkpurugu, Nalerigu Gambaga, Walewale, Tamale Central, Karaga, Savelugu, Tolon, Yapei Kusawgu, Damongo, Wa Central, Daffiama/Buise/Issa, and Jirapa constituencies.

He is going to begin the tour from the Upper East Region, where he would inspect ongoing works on the Bongo-Balungu-Namoo-Zorko road, one-village-one-dam project site at Kuyellingo, and the Navrongo-Chuchuliga-Sandema road.

He is expected to cut the sod for the construction of a new district police headquarters and interact with chiefs and traditional rulers.

Whilst in the Northern Region, the President would perform the ceremony for construction works to start on the Nasia-Janga Road, inspect ongoing Nalerigu/Gambaga town roads, and cut the sod for the one-village-o\ne-dam Integrated Agriculture with Renewable Energy for Poverty Eradication (IAREPE) project in Savelugu.

Added to these is the construction of a district hospital and a warehouse in Tolon, inaugurate the Motor king assembly plant at Lamashegu, an accident and emergency centre at Yapei/Kusawgu, and engage with the chiefs and traditional rulers in Damongo, Buknkrugu, and Nalerigu/Gambaga.

In the Upper West Region, the President Akufo-Addo is expected to commission the new Upper West Regional House of Chiefs building; commission the new library/Amatrol laboratory complex of the Wa polytechnic; and inspect ongoing works on the construction of a multi-purpose Youth Development Centre in Wa.

He would also inspect ongoing works on the Wa-Han road; and commission projects at the Ullo Senior High School in Jirapa.

The President would end the tour on Wednesday July 25.
