Prophet Kwabena Tawiah, General Overseer of the Church of Rabbi at Ofankor, near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region, has called on flag-bearers of the various political parties to accept the results of the upcoming general election in good faith.

He observed that there was the need for the parties to accept the results of the election whole-heartedly since they were all fighting for the common goal of eradicating poverty, provision of good health delivery system and infrastructural development among other social amenities.

Prophet Tawiah who made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at his church premises at Ofankor at the weekend, said winning an election was not a do-and-die affair but that it was the way one packaged one's political programme and sold to the people that made one victorious.

“Out of the lot only one aspirant will emerged a winner and it is God who institutes a leader, so whoever wins an election is automatically ordained by God,” he pointed out.

Prophet Tawiah advised Ghanaians to open a new chapter by refraining from acts which hinder national development, saying that “there is the need for all to unite and support the party that emerges as a winner so that the nation makes progress in development.”

He said as one people with a common destiny, Ghanaians should bury their differences in order to build a peaceful nation.”

In his prediction, the Prophet said 2013 would be a year full of God’s favour and mercy and called on religious leaders to place the nation in the hands of God for growth.**
