The President and founder of Youth for Accountable Governance, a pressure group in Kpando Municipal whose aim is to rally the youth to ensure accountability has himself been found unaccountable.

Mr. Carl Mawuli Atitse a former "Chief Justice" of UEM Ashanti Mampong Campus was on Tuesday 8th November 2017 remanded by the Kpando Circuit Court for rape, assault and attempted murder. His plea was not taken.

The facts of the case is that Mr. Carl Mawuli Atitse who is currently a teacher at Kwamekrom Day Senior High School, befriended a young lady (name withheld) in Kpando.

The lady’s claim is she found out that the suspect was married and therefore severed the relationship with him. Not happy with the lady's decision, Mr. Carl Mawuli Atitse went to her place of work at Boman City in Kpando on Thursday after 10 pm. He invited her as if to talk things over with her then at knife point forced her into a car.

According to the lady, he then drove her to a secluded bush in a nearby town Aveme in the adjourning district. At knife point Mr. Mawuli Carl Atitse allegedly stripped her naked, raped her and threatened to mutilate her genital ignoring her cries and pleas for help. Luck was on her side when a timely phone call came that his wife was in labour, which changed the turn of events.

The young lady on reaching Kpando reported the case to the Kpando police and Mr. Carl Mawuli Atitse was arrested and arranged before the court.

Mr. Carl Mawuli Atitse a self acclaimed anti corruption campaigner has been quoted as claiming he has a dossier on the Police and the Judges in Kpando.

He held people to high standards but he could not keep the standards he held others to.

He will reappear in court on Monday, the 13th of November.
