Prestea MP donates cash, items towards Energy FM’s Inter-Community Christmas gala

Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni-Valley in the Western Region, Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has contributed items worth GHc 4,000.00 as well as a cash amount of GHc 2,000.00 as her contribution towards Energy FM’s Prestea Inter-Community Christmas Gala for communities in Prestea enclave.

The items include; One giant trophy, ten sets of jerseys, 5-footballs, a gold medal for best player and a cash amount of GHc 2,000.00.

Presenting the items on behalf of the MP, the MCE for the area , Hon. Mozart Kwaku Owuh said, “The MP, Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi is very happy to be associated with the Energy FM’s community gala, and specifically thanks Mr. Kwabena Fosu, CEO of Energy FM for continuously extending invitation to MP, as well as MCE in any programme the radio station organizes for Prestea community”.

The MCE hinted that Lawyer Oteng-Gyasi is lobbying for Astroturf of Prestea Scot Stadium by the end of 2019.

This will lead to full renovation of Prestea Stadium to international standard.

“My MP is appealing that, next year, the competition should include females, to make it gender balanced and help raise female team for the municipality”, he said.

The MCE encouraged Energy FM to continue the good work of giving back to the community and advised all sister radio stations in the Municipality to learn from them.

There are ten communities that are participating in the football competition which include Ankobra, Himan, Krootown/Nsuekyir, Cemetary road, Boilerside, Ahyiam, No.3 Compound, Anfagya-Nakaba, Mankesim, and Bondaye.

The competition commenced on Friday, December 28, 2018 and it is expected to end on Sunday, December 30, 2018.

He, therefore seized the opportunity and advised the players and organizers to ensure there won’t be injuries and that there will be peaceful serene throughout the competition and wished the competitors the best of luck.
