Prestige Ladies Club of New York inauguration and fundraising

New York, USA -- The prominent ladies group; Prestige Ladies Club of New York dubbed "The

most Entertaining Club Ever" recently had its inauguration and fundraising

dance at the Bronx, New York

The special guests of honour were;Mr. Nicholas Boateng and Mr. Kwabena Safo.

There was also a special appearance by the New York Asantefuohene, Daasebre

Nana Anane Amponsah who was accompanied by Nana Abena Manu, New York

Asantefuohemaa and other sub-chiefs.

In her welcoming address, Nana Adoma, the President of the club briefly

expressed her appreciation and the enormous support of all attendees. She

talked about the history, aims of the club, its challenges and way forward.

She also presented Ms Mary Adjei Fobi, Secretary with a gift for her

hardwork and dedication.

In his keynote address, Nana Amponsah thanked the organizers for inviting

him to grace the occasion. He officially welcomed the club as part of the

Ashanti Unity. He also encouraged the club to unite because it is only

through unity and perseverance, the club would become a strong force to be

reckoned with. He also announced that the New York Asantefuohene, Nana

Abena Manu has also become a new member of the prominent ladies club (This

drew a huge applause).

Music was provided by DJ 14K and hilarious DJ 2000

A brief history of Prestige Ladies Club of New York

The founding members are Mary Fobi, Nana Adoma, Hanna Osafo Donkoh and

Jemian Yaya. The club was formed June 27th 2004. The purpose of the club is

to help ourselves as well as Ghananias back home. To know our culture, and

to help each other in any way we can.
