Prez Mahama must do something before he dies - Kwesi Pratt

Kwesi Pratt Jnr has asked President John Dramani Mahama to take advantage of today’s State of the Nation’s Address to redeem his image and that of his government.

Critics of the incumbent administration have bemoaned government’s inability to solve the various and numerous challenges facing the country.

Some have even gone to the extent of asking President Mahama to step down since he is not ‘doing anything’ to put the economy back in shape, especially in the face of the depreciating cedi and the dwindling rate of the economy.

In accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, President John Dramani Mahama today delivered the State of the Nation’s Address in Parliament.

In view of that the managing editor of the Insight newspaper asked him to take advantage of the address to tell Ghanaians “solutions to existing economic challenges”.

“We are already aware of the challenges facing the country. We need solutions and that is what we are expecting from the president’s State of the Nation’s Address. It’s a major opportunity for the president… John Mahama! Do something before you die,” he stated.

Kwesi Pratt who was contributing to panel discussion on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ programme on Tuesday also asked Members of Parliament to be serious during the presentation of the address.

He said “Parliamentarians should know that parliament house is neither a stadium nor a boxing arena. Let there be sanity in parliament today…”
