Private school teachers are accusing their proprietors of exploitation. They claim many proprietors are not paying their SSNIT contributions besides the poor remunerations paid them.

The teachers are allegedly been prevented from forming associations. Acting President of the Private Schools Teachers Association, Kofi Agyei tells XYZNEWS they are waging a war against their unfair treatment.

He said “we are also calling on government who actually enforce laws, such as complying with minimum wage to at least talk to them. People are being so much exploited”.

Meanwhile, some private school owners have denied the allegation of exploitation saying efforts are being made to give the teachers the best of conditions.
