Accra, Dec. 27, GNA - The man, who successfully broke into the residence of Professor Kofi Kumado at Little Legon and was relaxing in the sitting room, is to pay 4.8 million cedis or in default six month's imprisonment.
The Accra Arts Centre Magistrate's Grade One Court convicted and sentenced Francis Odonkor on his own plea of guilty, when he appeared before it.
A Security Guard of the University of Ghana in charge of Little Legon saw Odonkor, who hails from Odumase-Krobo, relaxing in the sitting room and raised the alarm.
Odonkor took to his heels but with the assistance of some students he was apprehended and taken to the Legon Police Station.
In another development a 26-year old worker of the University, Awanda Ati suspected to be selling Indian hemp to the University community was remanded in Prison custody when he appeared before the same Court to enable the Police to complete investigations. Ati, whose plea was not taken, was arrested by the University Security at the Bush Canteen with 103 wrappers of leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and an amount of 185,000 cedis.
