Director of Research and Innovation at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Professor Smart Sarpong, has called out five ministries in the ruling administration, urging them to improve their performance.
Speaking on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Prof. Sarpong singled out the Sports Ministry, stressing that Minister Kofi Adams must stamp his authority to restore confidence.
“Kofi Adams needs to stamp his authority at the Sports Ministry because over the last two years things have not really been going well in that ministry. The Black Stars are not doing well under your tenure, and now this scandal,” he said.
Prof. Sarpong went further to mention the Education Ministry, Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture Ministry, Transport Ministry, and the Interior Ministry as sectors that have failed to bring honour to the government.
He described the ministries’ contribution to government as “shameful.”
“The other ministries should also ask themselves if they’re doing well or not. The Education sector is actually in chaos. Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture; then Transport, Interior — they’re in the middle and they’ve not brought any honour to the ruling government. They should own their ministry and know that they’re accountable,” he emphasized.
