Accra, Aug. 9, GNA - The Australian High Commission in collaboration with the Kokrobitey Institute on Saturday launched its 'Little Steps' project aimed at riding the capital city of plastic waste. Ms Renee Cineblett, Director of the Institute said the project would consisted of the production of bags from recycled flour bags which could be used for shopping as an alternative to the excessive use of plastic bags. She said the project had been designed to use education as one of the methods for managing and reducing the use of plastics and introduce a viable environmentally- friendly alternative. Mr Williams Williams, Autralian High Commissioner, Ghana said the commission had provided a grant of 10, 000 dollars to help in education. 9 Aug. 08
