National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams says his party is not bothered by the prophecy of Rev. Owusu Bempah that their political rival, Nana Akufo-Addo, Flagbearer of the opposition NPP will be the next President of Ghana.

The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev Owusu Bempah says he foresee Ghanaians giving Nana Addo an opportunity to lead the country for the first time but warned some challenges are likely to happen.

“Nana Akufo-Addo will win the elections; everyone should take note of it. But there will be a controversy and that will bring the challenges.

“…People should take note of the date that I made this revelation…whoever can enter the spiritual realm should do so and verify if what I am saying is the truth,” He said in an interview with a television station.

But reacting to the prophecy on Okay FM, the former deputy General Secretary of the ruling NDC says the prophecy is part of the period we find ourselves as people will say all manner of things in the last days; alluding that the prophecy is false, marking the end time.

According to him, the NDC government is working hard to fulfill all promises made to Ghanaians without a bother by any prophecy because there have been several of such prophecies about President Mahama and after failing to materialize, they are being justified by interventional measures by some elders.

“If you prophesy, why should some interventions of some elders stop the prophecies? Did those elders ask you to prophesy or God asked you?" Kofi Adams sought to know.

He further insisted that the NDC focuses on the governance mandated to them by Ghanaians; urging that those he has prophesied to should continue to receive his prophecies.

“We don’t use prophecies to vote; if so, political parties will abandon their work and move from one church and mosques to the other for prophecies….I don’t know who is telling the truth because there are so many prophecies and everybody is saying completely different things here.

"We shall see what God will do in this case...you should know President Mahama is a promised child and by all means, God will not reject him and rather he will succeed in his presidency. I am more than convinced that in 2016, President Mahama will retain his seat as President of Ghana,” he said.
