Public servants urged to extend opportunities to all

Mr Antwi-Bosiako Sekyere, Eastern Regional Minister, has advised public servants to ensure that the opportunities created by government in the economy are known by the people, to enable them take advantage of those opportunities to help develop the various districts.

He urged staff of the various Assemblies, to work as a team and support initiatives put in place to develop their districts.

The Regional Minister gave the advice when he addressed heads of department of the Fanteakwa District Assembly, as part of his tour of the district.

He explained that the District Assemblies were the surest means of extending opportunities in the economy to all the people.

The Regional Minister advised staff of the Assembly to exhibit seriousness, work diligently and eschew laziness.

The District Chief Executive of Fanteakwa, Mr Abass Fusieni Sbaabe, pleaded with the Minister, to help improve upon the tourist sites in the district.

He said Odomakoma Ahenfie which is one of the best tourist sites in the region has been opened to tourists, but needs to be developed to attract investors.

Mr Sbaabe said, the road network in the Begoro township needs immediate attention to help prevent it from further deterioration.
