As part of its contribution to enhance the delivery of quality education, Kabkork Publication Limited has presented a cheque for GH?10, 000 towards the forthcoming National Best Teacher Award.
The event, annually organised by Ministry of Education is scheduled to take place at Cape Coast in the Central Region on Sunday October 5, to coincide with World Teachers Day Celebration.
In an interview with Ghana News Agency, Mr Michael Kabutey Caesar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kabkork, said his outfit has over the years donate books to the Ministry, adding: “This year the company is sponsoring category A, which could cover 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of any particular award in the primary schools.”
He said there is the need for the nation to recognise the efforts of dedicated and hardworking teachers who have given off their best in their chosen profession, to serve the country.
The CEO said Kabkork, which has been in existence for 10 years is mainly into publishing works, printing academic textbooks for both public and private organisations, mostly at the basic level and is yet to introduce senior high school materials into the market.
Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Deputy Minister of Education, who received the cheque, expressed gratitude to the publication firm as well other sponsors for supporting the 20th edition of the award.
