Publisher Of Independent Newspaper Appointed Ambassador

The publisher of the “Independent” newspaper, Kabral Blay-Amihere, has been appointed to head one of Ghana’s diplomatic missions abroad. Mr Amihere who is also the President of the West African Journalists Association, is among the ambassadors-designate who are attending a two-week course in Accra.

The statement naming Mr Amihere as a diplomat did not mention the country he would be assigned to but Joy FM has learnt that he might serve in Japan. The statement also named Prof. Mike Ocquaye, a lecturer at the University Of Ghana, Col (rtd) G. Minyila, K Amua-Awua, a foreign service officer and D.Y. Adjei as ambassadors and high commissioners designate.
