Aimed at improving and strengthening Africa’s health outcomes; founder of Quality Health Africa (QHA), Erwin Boateng says his team will host its second annual health fair at the Bosuso Health Centre in the Eastern Region on Friday, April 10, 2015.

“The first edition of QHA at the Bosuso Health Centre was a success, but quite challenging because the people were reserved and less interested in participating and that’s a good reason to re-host the second edition there again to create health awareness and enlighten the people of Bosuso,” the QHA founder said in an interview with AmaLarbieAfrica.

The second edition, according to Erwin Boateng, will provide several screening sessions for Blood pressure, Diabetes, Breast cancer self-examination, and community health education and also a donation of several medical supplies to the clinic and other clinics in the region.

According to Erwin, the vision of QHA is to be the leader in improving and strengthening Africa’s health outcomes through its facility renovation, specialty programs, community responsive, culturally competent, patient care, education, and clinical research programs in the coming years.

“We aspire to be one of Africa’s hospitals which capture the synergy in being both an excellent institution, an innovative, and community oriented Organization. QHA will set the standard for excellence in quality and patient safety in hospitals all over Africa,” he said.

Adding, “to enable us turn our outreach programs into a permanent National Initiative; QHA has acquired a 20-acre plot of land at Bosuso for the construction of a Quality Health Africa Medical facility.”

He further noted that planning has been underway to construct a new 199-bed Hospital, which will provide affordable quality comprehensive care to needy patients and under-served communities in Ghana and the Sub-Saharan region; “the hospital will provide services including diagnostic outpatient consultation and surgical care.”

Some of QHA’s specialty programs include QHA Malaria prevention Initiative; Eva’s Breast cancer Prevention Initiative; and HIV/AIDS Prevention Initiative.
