GhanaWeb has retracted and corrected portions of a story titled “Ex-COCOBOD chiefs finally face criminal investigations – Report,” which was published on March 4, 2026 and syndicated from theheraldghana.com.
Following a review prompted by correspondence from the legal representatives of Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Chief Executive Officer of the Jospong Group of Companies, GhanaWeb has established that certain claims contained in the syndicated report were inaccurate.
The article stated that some procurement deals were awarded to Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong and suggested that he was under criminal investigation in relation to the matters discussed. These claims are inaccurate.
The article has been updated to remove the incorrect references. The accompanying image has also been edited and a correction note has been added to the article page to reflect the update. This retraction notice will remain published as part of GhanaWeb’s transparency policy.
