Summit Consult, advisors to Hassan Zein, write this rejoinder to correct a palpable falsehood about the renowned businessman and philanthropist by Haled Ould Ibrahim, a Malian national reported in the Daily Guide newspaper edition of Wednesday, 27th May, 2020 and subsequently curled by your website (GhanaWeb).

The false publication with the headline, “Malian Petitions CID over Harassment” suggested that our client Hassan Zein was a dubious businessman and a criminal without contacting him for comments – a deliberate move to tarnish his hard earned reputation.

Interestingly, the newspaper (Daily Guide) and your website (GhanaWeb) could not provide single evidence to authenticate the myriad of allegations leveled against Hassan Zein in that sponsored and libelous publication.

The smear campaign engineered by Haled Ould Ibrahim and his family would not see the light of day as he attempts to escape from an alleged defilement case the police is currently investigating.

Hassan Zein is determined and resolute in the face of the unfounded allegations to pursue his attackers with his last drop of blood.

He is also resolute in his decision to pursue his attackers in the matter His Eminence Dr Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu, a man he calls his father instructed him to mediate.

Having tolerated his attackers for so long, he has pledged that his attackers will never succeed in stopping him from seeking justice through the appropriate legal channels available.

The renowned philanthropist who is a Ghanaian has sued his attackers in two different High Courts in Ghana obtaining more than 50,000,000 million Ghana Cedis and has obtained an interlocutory judgment in one of the cases pending at the Accra High Court and another of such cases pending at the Kwabenya Court.

We can state on authority that the Kwabenya Court issued a Bench Warrant for the alleged rapist and nine other members of his family, five declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service and published in a Gazette.

Media Houses contacted the lawyers for Hassan Zein, Justice Abdulai of Crown Legal Bureau, he confirmed that indeed, his client is a well-focused man, decent and unshaken by the attempt to smear his reputation simply because of his attempt to represent Sheikh Sharabutu and do the task assigned him by His Eminence.

The lawyers in Mali also confirmed that indeed, it took less than six months to pronounce judgement against the media that were used by Mohammed Ould Ibrahim, his children and other family members to attack and vilify Hassan Zein.

But it has taken quite some time to obtain similar justice in Ghana.

The lawyers also confirmed that they were amazed to see publications from their client's attackers when they are rather the ones with several criminal complaints against them at various police stations throughout the country.

Hassan Zein has also obtained judgement in other West African countries where his attackers used some media houses to damage his reputation.

This so called Omar and his family are experts in lying, however, the truth will prevail sooner or later.
