RE: Upper West Tells Cpp To Develop Its Grassroot Structures

Sat, 9 Jul 2011 Source: --

We refer to Ghana News Agency Publication on 7th July 2011 on the above matter. We wish to state that the story published by the GNA is very misleading and without merit.

On Tuesday, 5 July 2011, when the Youth for Nduom 2012 Exlporatory committee arrived in Upper West region, the Team contacted GNA to announce our arrival in the Region and our intensions to explore the viability of Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom. As of the time the team met GNA for the said story, we had not interviewed anybody in the Region and had not yet retrieved any questionnaire from any of our volunteers. We could not therefore have told Mr. Pobia (Reporter for GNA) of our findings.

The arrangement was that the team would call the reporter to give him our findings the next day when we had finished our exploration in Tumu, also in the Upper West Region.

After our tour ended in the Upper West Region, the reporters number, which he had given to us was not working and so we could not relay our findings to him.

The purported findings in the GNA publication are not the findings of the Exploratory Committee and we want to entreat the public to ignore these findings.

The people of Upper West Region have raised very good arguments that must be taken very seriously. We shall sit down after our tour and come out with a very comprehensive report on all our findings from all Ten Regions.
