Radio Univers’ Yohanness Kuvor bags award at 2019 ‘BHJCR Royal Ball’

Host of Business Trendz on University of Ghana-based Radio Univers 105.7FM, Yohanness Awunyo Kofi Kuvor, has been named ‘Student Activist of the Year’ at the 2019 Business House Junior Common Room (BHJCR) Royal Ball.

The Royal Ball is an annual awards ceremony organized by the Business House Junior Common Room for its members.

Yohanness, a member of the Business Desk at Radio Univers, managed to beat four others to win the prestigious award in the ‘Student Activist of the Year’ category.

Speaking to UniversNews after the Awards Night, the final year University of Ghana student expressed gratitude to all who supported him.

“I want to thank God for helping me with this. I’m also thankful to all who took the time to vote for me. Although it is my name that is on the award, I believe it is a win for everyone.”

Reacting to Yohanness’ reception of the award, News Editor at the station, Dorothy Buatsi, described it as a welcoming news for the station.

She challenged other volunteers at the station to strive and brighten every corner they find themselves.

“It is refreshing to note that the volunteers with the station are not only diligent in the daily operation of the station but have also engaged themselves in other profitable ventures. The newsroom is proud of Yohanness and we challenge other volunteers here to shine wherever they find themselves.
