Koforidua, July 12, GNA-The Eastern Regional Minister, Dr Kwasi Akyem Apea-Kubi, says former President John Jerry Rawlings’ contribution in Ghana’s history should be well preserved and not tarnished.

He had therefore appealed to the Former President to make peace with all to ensure that people benefited from his rich life and political experience.

Interacting with the media in Koforidua on the aftermath of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Delegates Congress held in Sunyani last weekend, Dr Apea-Kubi said it was time that the former President sat back and offered advice for the running of national affairs.

He said the name of the former President would certainly have place when the history of Ghana is being written.

He said the NDC recognised the role of the former President in Ghana’s politics and in the party as its founder and would always give him that respect and honour at all times.

Dr Apea-Kubi said the Better Ghana Agenda would prove that the NDC being led by President John Evans Atta Mills could develop Ghana to an appreciable level and called on all to rally behind him to win the 2012 General Elections.
