Rawlings is my good friend - Kwaku Baako

Kwaku Baako Jnr., Editor-in- chief of the Crusading Guide, whose life seems threatened by his enemies in the NDC, has said ex-President Rawlings is his good friend.

His revelation came as a shocker to millions who had always considered the two to be avowed enemies, either of whom sees nothing good in the other.

According to Kweku Baako, apart from being his best friend he bears the ex-President no grudge for anything.

Baako, speaking on Choice FM, an Accra radio station, disabused the minds of those who misconceived his warning that he would strip Rawlings naked to mean that he would disgrace him unfairly.

About the threatening letter allegedly crafted by Mr. Victor Smith, aide to Rawlings, and A.K. Mensah also of the NDC, Baako stressed that he has no animosity against the NDC and any plot to eliminate him would be baseless.

He, however, reaffirmed his readiness to criticise his friend, Rawlings, mercilessly anytime he falters.

About the NDC in general, the Journalist of the Year 2000 noted “the members of that party are very uncomfortable with criticism.”

That notwithstanding, he served notice that criticism is exactly what he will continue to subject that group to.
