Contrary to information that former Minister of Fisheries in the John Kufuor-led administration Mrs. Gladys Asmah has passed away, a special assistant to the NPP scribe has told XYZ News that Mrs. Asmah is alive.
She was reported to have died on Sunday at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, where she was receiving treatment for a heart-related illness.
Reports say she had been in a coma at the Cardio Centre of the hospital for the past week. She would have turned 75 in October this year.
However, a special assistant to Mrs. Asmah, Mr. David Aidoo, in an interview with XYZ News said that Mrs. Asmah is not dead.
He added that Mrs. Asmah is in a critical condition but is alive and undergoing medical treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
