Re-Launching www.akufoaddo.org

Mon, 28 Jul 2008 Source: Akufo-Addo Campaign

In an effort to expand his message beyond traditional media and interact with all Ghanaians, the NPP flagbearer is inviting Ghanaians in the Diaspora to join him for a real-time online conversation about the future of Ghana.

The online event slated for Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 5PM GMT (1:00 PM EST) presents a great opportunity for Ghanaians abroad to have a direct and unfiltered conversation with the presidential candidate on the critical issues facing the nation. You are encouraged to register at www.akufoaddo.org before the event to participate.

During the online event, Nana Akufo-Addo will formally launch the campaign's re-designed website, www.akufoaddo.org. The re-launched website would provide up to date information, video & news releases about the campaign. It would also allow supporters to make donations through secure channels and write political blogs or personal diaries. The site also provides grassroots organizational tools which would allow supporters to communicate online and organize fund-raising events such as house parties, picnics and rallies.

For Ghanaians living abroad, the online event presents an opportunity to ask questions about pressing Diaspora related issues such as dual citizenship, right to vote in Ghana (ROPAL), leveraging talent abroad to positively impact key initiatives in Ghana and issues surrounding transition and re-integration into the fabric of life in Ghana.

This online event is innovative in Ghanaian politics and it also offers an opportunity to leverage web technology as an organizational tool to reach Ghanaians across Europe and the Americas. This approach is consistent with the candidate's message of harnessing resources in an innovative collaboration which would result in collaborative innovation when he is president. Please mark your calendars to participate in this historic event- an online conversation with Nana Akufo-Addo. Sincerely,

The Akufo-Addo for President Campaign Team
