Ho, Jan. 2, GNA- The Volta Regional Minister, Mr Kwasi Owusu- Yeboa on Friday assured Journalists in the region of his best relationship and co-operation but would not sacrifice his image and reputation to maintain such good relations.

Mr Owusu-Yeboa said this when he met representatives of Public and the private media at Ho over allegations of he bribing a reporter to malign and vilify his deputy Mr Kofi Dzamesi.

The Regional Minister said he would neither resort to rejoinders nor the National Media Commission (NMC) to seek redress but rather go to Court as the only alternative to establish his reputation. He, therefore, advised Journalists in the region to cross-check every information on him before publication.

Mr Owusu-Yeboa said those peddling the rumour seemed not to appreciate its implications and emphasised that, " if anybody is out to knock our heads together, I am prepared to stop that".

He said he maintains good working and personal relationships with his deputy Mr Dzamesi who sat by him.

Present were Mr Steve Selormey, Regional Co-ordinating Director, Mr Kofi Duku Arthur Regional Police Commander and the Regional Head of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
