Nsuta (Ashanti Region) - The electorate have been asked to vote massively to reject the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in this year's general elections for its dismal economic performance that has led to mass suffering.

Mr Kwame Osei-Prempeh, Member of Parliament for Nsuta-Kwamang, said the widespread economic hardships have resulted in the inability of the people to pay for medical bills, enjoy decent living, pay for the fees of their wards in school and settle utility service charges among other obligations.

"This situation is a testimony of the NDC government's failure. Mr Osei-Prempeh was addressing a rally organised by the Nsuta branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to raise funds to support the party's activities in the area.

He gave the assurance that an NPP government would turn the economy round and bring real economic development and prosperity to the people. He said for this to happen, it is important for all party activists to avoid complacency and work hard to reach out to the people with the right message to assist them to make the right choice at the polls.

Mr Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, MP for Old-Tafo-Suame, advised all members of the party to show a high sense of political maturity and discipline by refusing to be drawn into any "dirty politics" likely to engender confrontation.
