Kumasi, Sept. 3, GNA – Voters have been urged to reject the ruling National Democratic Congress in the 2012 general elections for its failed campaign promises and poor performance.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Ashanti Regional Coordinator of the Nasara Club, Alhaji Musah Zingi, adding that for almost three years into the Mills Administration, the economic situation of the Ghanaian had only worsened.
The statement cited, growing unemployment, rising poverty, high cost of living exacerbated by increases in water and electricity bills as some of the signs that show our worsening condition.
Added to these, it said were the virtual collapse of social interventions like the National Health Insurance Scheme, the School Feeding Program and Metro Mass Transit which helped to provide safety nets for the poor.
The Club said the NDC’s drumbeat “Better Ghana Agenda” had now become a mirage.
It appealed to all to vote massively for the NPP’s flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, and the party’s parliamentary candidates, to restore hope and confidence to the nation.
The statement asked members and supporters of the NPP to step up their political education campaign to enable the party win the coming elections.
