The Vice President of the Legon chapter of the Pentecost Students Association (PENSA), Fred Broohm, has issued words of admonishments to church denominations on the University of Ghana campus to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution concerning advertisement.

Speaking to Univers News at the climax of a “Back to Bible” conference organized by the Association, he advised that all the church associations should post their bills only at authorized places on campus as per the university’s rules.

Although Fred Broohm admitted that posting at only authorized places will not help them gain the attention of many members of the University community, he is urging that the laws of the university are heeded to.

“I understand the fact that posting bills only at authorized places will draw very few persons attention but I would like to entreat all the churches denominations to stick to those places since the School has a policy governing publicity on campus which does not permit such activities at unauthorized areas,” he said.

Fred Broohm also admonished student political aspirants to set leadership examples by posting their advertisement materials at approved places.

“…those who are aspiring to be our leaders should obey the rules and regulations of the university and live an exemplary life. They should desist from posting anywhere and everywhere on campus,” he added.

Fred Broohm’s comment on indiscriminate postings across tertiary institutions comes on the back a campaign launched by Ghana’s leading campus radio station, Radio Univers 105.7FM.

The campaign, #StopIndiscriminatePostingsNow, is targetted at persons posting posters at prohibited places on the campus of the University of Ghana.

#StopIndiscriminatePostingsNow is achieving results as University management has taken action to peel posters off lamp posts especially.
