At least two persons are feared dead and several others injured in a renewed chieftaincy clash in Bole, in the Northern region Monday morning.

Sources in the town disclosed to 3news.com that some residents have started fleeing the town to neighbouring communities for safety.

3news.com further gathers that the latest violence was as a result of a planned enskinment of a new Bolewura [Chief of Bole] by one Kant.

“Snippets of information say Chief Kant who is Mandariwura is preparing to enskin as Bolewura now”, a source disclosed in confidence.

Ours source also added that the final funeral of the late Bolewura Pontonpron is over and as custom demands, there should be an enskinment of a new chief.

However, one Abutu Bukari from one of the feuding sides reportedly held himself as chief and has thus foiled attempts by the traditional authorities to enskin a new chief.

Meanwhile, security personnel have been deplored to manage the situation and maintain order.
