Renowned broadcaster Godwin Avenorgbo is dead

Veteran broadcaster, Godwin Avenorgbor, affectionately known as Big Godwin, has passed away.

He died on Monday, August 19, 2024. While the cause of death has not been revealed, many have been expressing deep sorrows over his death.

Before his passing, the "Grandmaster," as he was endearingly called, served as the Director of Communications for the Melcom Group of Companies.

In a brief statement posted on Ghana Television's Facebook page, where Godwin Avenorgbor had an illustrious career, it said, "The ‘Grandmaster’ (Godwin Avenorgbor) bows out. May his gentle soul rest in peace."
