The Holy Ghost Revival Centre (HGRC) of the Assemblies of God today launched its bi-annual magazine, Rescue, in Accra with a call on Ghanaians to support the initiative of the producers to ensure sustainable national development. The 40-page magazine which is the church's contribution to the celebration of Ghana's 40th independence anniversary would be made available to MP's, ministers and politicians free of charge. It is designed to raise national awareness and consciousness about the spiritual dimension of Ghana's independence, the contribution that the church has made to national development and the challenges ahead as ''we enter the 21st. century''. Under the theme, ''The Role of the Church in the Development of Ghana as an Independent Nation and the Way Forward'', Mr. Kafui Ameh, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, said it is the vision of the church to mobilize the abundant spiritual, human and material resources of the nation in carrying out the work of evangelism. He said this initiative needs the total support of every Ghanaian to ensure sustainable development.
