Former National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) Kofi Adams has described controversial Prophet Owusu Bempah as a threat to national security.

Prophet Owusu Bempah on Friday morning stormed the offices of Accra-based Radio XYZ in search of broadcaster ‘Mugabe’ in the company of some men where they shoved the administrator of the station as they ransacked the offices in their frantic search for the presenter claiming the latter had insulted him on radio.

The development comes a day after former President John Mahama called out the prophet for false claims.

The founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry International in an interview on Oman FM alleged that some members of the National Democratic Congress including Mahama are scheming to eliminate the president and vice president Mahamudu Bawumia.

However, Mahama in a statement has rubbished such claims by whom he described as “a politically-tainted founder of a church.”

In an interview with Akwasi Nsiah on Ghana Kasa on Kasapa FM, Kofi Adams who has made a report against Rev. Owusu Bempah to the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) said the questionable conduct of the man of God if not checked will have dire consequences for the peace of the nation.

“Rev. Owusu Bempah is not a threat to the NDC, but rather a threat to Ghana. The conduct of late has been one that causes a lot of problems. Not too long ago we all heard what he said about the Chief Imam that got some Mulsim youth to attack his church. If it hadn’t been that we have a peaceful Chief Imam who called the youth to order, we can all imagine what would have happened in this country. This is how religious attacks happen.

Kofi Adams added: “He claims to be the President’s spiritual father and so has access to him anytime. If he has such information suggesting people want to kill the president why don’t he informs the police and the President about it but rather goes and speaks publicly on the radio to cause fear and panic.
