Revenue Inspector bonded over assault

Assin Foso (C/R) Feb. 28, GNA- Sarah Bonney, a revenue inspector at the Agona District Assembly, who assaulted Madam Esi Gyimah of Assin Foso was on Tuesday bonded to be of good behaviour for six months by the District Magistrates' Court at Assin Foso.

The court presided over by Mr Joseph Blay also ordered the convict to pay a compensation of 200,000 cedis to Madam Gyimah. Bonney, who pleaded guilty to assault, will go to prison for six months in default of the bond and serve another two months in jail if she fails to pay the compensation.

Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police Akwasi Asafo-Agyei, told the court that, on November 18, last year, Bonney went to madam Gyimah's house to beat her up for reportedly assaulted her (Bonney's) son. 28 Feb. 07
