Road Contractors pick new officers

Accra, Feb. 27, GNA - Three Managing Directors, whose construction companies are members of the Association of Road Contractors (ASROC) Ghana have been re-elected to serve a four-year term on the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Association.

This follows the ASROC National Elections held in all the Regions simultaneously on Wednesday, February 20th, 2008. The Managing Directors are Mr. J Twumasi-Mensah of Nkwantabisa Engineers Limited, National Chairman, Mr. Joseph Ebo Hewton of Johaze Limited, National Vice-Chairman; and Alhaji Mohammed Aminu Amadu of Nyagsi Engineers, National Technical Advisor.

In a statement signed by Mr. Kwaku Nuamah, Executive Secretary of the Association of Road Contractors Ghana, the fourth position-the National Treasurer-which was keenly contested by two persons, went to Mr. Kwasi Dankyi, the Managing Director of SEBIRA Limited of Koforidua who had 112 votes as against Madam Alice Duah Boateng, the Managing Director of Aldub Services of Accra, with 100 votes. The elections were supervised by the Electoral Commission. Mr. Nuamah, speaking on behalf of the new officers, thanked members for electing them to the National Executive Council. 27 Feb. 08
