Road and Building Contractors awards to be launched on Thursday

The second edition of the National Contractors Excellence Awards instituted to recognize and award Building, Road and Civil Engineering Contractors will be launched on Thursday.

The awards being championed by the Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (ABCECG) are part of the crusade to promote excellence and discourage substandard works in the construction sector.

The maiden edition of the award was held last year, and following the successful organization of the event, other contractor groups have expressed interest to join the scheme.

As a result of this interest, the scope of this year’s award is being expanded to include Road Contractors and in effect, Road, Building and Civil Engineering Contractors will therefore have the opportunity to compete for the coveted awards slated for September this year.

Progressive Road Contractors Association (PROCA) and the Association of Road Contractors (ASROC) are involved in events leading to the awards.

The launch of the National Contractors Excellence Awards is opened to the public and application forms for the awards will go on sale after the launch.**
