Mr Rojo Mettle Nunoo, the desperate former communication’s Aid of the former Vice President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, has taken another swipe at the President, Mr John Agyekum Kufuor over his loose talk last Saturday.
This time he has described Mr Kufuor as an illegitimate president who is dump and irresponsible. He said he is opening an adult education school for the sitting president to go through his tutorials.
Speaking in an interview, Mr Mettle Nunoo said Mr Kufuor and his party are only seeking the opportunity to divert the public’s attention from their nefarious drug dealings. His comment came same day Mr Kufuor through his Press Secretary Andrew Awuni called on both his party, the NPP and the opposition party NDC to seize accusing each other and allow the Georgina Wood committee to do its work.
Mr Nunoo said he is ready for anything the government wants to do with him as he is convinced he is innocent, adding that, the president was uncomfortable because his relationship with Hon? Eric Amoateng has been exposed and he needed to redeem his image. He said he has said what he knows about the Vazquez Geraldo, a Venezuelan fugitive suspected drug to be a drug baron adding that if he is guilty he should be prosecuted.
“Why can’t they go for the visa or find the landlord of the said house and ask him whose signatures are on the rent receipt and the associated documents.”
He debunked that he ever acquired the house said to be the resident of the busted friend and brother of his former boss. “As long as I am concerned, I had never known Vasquez Geraldo as a drug dealer and I can’t draw that conclusion until I have evidence of his involvement” Rojo said.
According to him if his critics say he aided the alleged drug traffickers into the country, they must as well be saying that Mr Kufuor’s government is ineffective and has no control over state institutions whose responsibility it is to monitor the inflow of immigrants into the country.
He alleged that he has picked intelligence that the state security apparatus are coaching the fugitive Venezuelans secretary to implicate him at the ongoing Justice Georgina Wood committee’s probe. “I hope I will be offered the opportunity when the time comes to cross examined her if it does happen”.
